Fresh handmade cakes, pastries and international breakfast are our specialities, in an environment you will love. We are looking forward to your visit.
Good & quick. I'll call, pick it up in 10 minutes and that's it.
We got a chocolate cake and a cheesecake. Both were great and a decent size as well
Amazing place with a nice ambience. Make sure you try the shakahuka and humous :)
Madness, 5 rolls and 2 croissants to take away, optically and tastefully from the day before yesterday, for 8 € in total. I found it very rude.
Nice little shop, friendly condition, prices a little above average But still within the framework.
Finally a café that stands out from the usual breakfast ideas! Delicious variations with hummus ..., but also classic with sausage, salmon, cheese, etc. Good portions, rolls and croissants from the in-house bakery, very tasty! Furnishing simple, but very comfortable with attention to detail!
I would have liked to have given four or five stars ... But: I've been a customer of Morcolade for a very, very long time and unfortunately I have to say with a heavy heart that the café has declined significantly. On the one hand there is the service. In the past, really open, nice employees worked here, but for a few months now, mostly fixed girls with a no-desire attitude have been working. I always feel like I'm more of a burden, which is a shame. Today the waitress emphasized about three times how happy she was that her working day was over. The breakfast used to be bigger (okay, I can understand that you don't want to throw anything away) and the kitchen is open longer. In the meantime, it is only open until 1 p.m., so the option to have lunch is flat. The cake is still great, and so are the baked goods (even if there were more of them in the past) It's a real shame because the shop was actually always my first port of call in Bornheim and I have already brought a lot of friends with me. Now I'm thinking of looking for another store.
Oh you great Morcolade Cafe! Anyone who loves Israeli cuisine will not only find a beautiful place here where great people work, but also excellent, authentic food. Their hummus so creamy, great baking art and the Sabich burger an absolute recommendation. On top of that, a great selection of cakes! 5 stars for everything
A great variety of cake. Highly recommended!
The breakfast is delicious and the service is friendly too. All in all a very good café in the center of Frankfurt
A café to be inspired. Delicious homemade cakes, the bakery is transparent next door and can be visited. There are Matcha Latte and Israeli Latte, even a couple of cakes made from an Israeli recipe. Super yummy 😋
Cleanliness = nil, cappuccino = good, Pastries = not good. Not recommendable!!
Wonderful place, very cozy, great prices for delicious breakfast and top drinks! Back soon :-)
Cozy atmosphere, special flair. Portions plentiful and tasty. Really enjoyed the late breakfast!
It's small, but nice :) very relaxing and lovely staff. The coffee is very good there too. A clear recommendation for those who want something different than full mainstream coffee shops.
Very tasty cake and great service. I don't think the coffee is that good, but it's nice to sit and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Everything perfect! :) delicious food, nice service - large selection !! Whether for breakfast or coffee and cake everyone will find something here :)
This recession only applies to the café bakery. I liked to get rolls every now and then for a while, the rolls are quite expensive at around € 1.20 each, but they were usually very tasty too. However, on my last two visits I got old baked poppy seed rolls in the early morning. If I buy the most expensive rolls from Frankfurt, I also expect them to be fresh, especially if I buy them in the morning. I think it's good if baked bread rolls are sold so that they don't have to be thrown away, but then please advise and reduce the price !!
Nice baker with good breakfast. The hummus variants are a nice change. Friendly service and generally a nice corner to sit outside. Enough rest paired with life.
Cosy and very friendly place with excellent food. They have a bakery as well. We go there once a month (at least) for Shakshuka. It's incredibly good and they even serve vegan and gluten-free cake! Service is always friendly and coffee exceptionally good. Choice of dishes varies (cake has some all-time favorites, but certainly you can find something new there everyday) from time to time, but not too frequently. Simply excellent :-).
Absolutely love this place. Studied here throughout the process of attaining my Abitur. Great environment and amazing cakes, by far the best in Frankfurt. Not traditional European cakes but sort of a fusion towards the American side, without the excess sweetness.
Super delicious breakfast at a reasonable price, enough choice, great coffee. Somewhat uncomfortable for me to linger a while, since wooden benches / stools were mostly at the same height as the table. Cushions for upholstery available in bulk ;-) Interesting for one or the other - toilet super narrow / narrow! Staff very polite. We will definitely come again.
Warm-vibe-filled place with great coffee and background music (especially recommended for a visit on rainy days).
Excellent place
Very nice, small cafe in Bornheim. The extremely tasty bread and baked goods are partly self-produced. There is a great selection of cakes and pastries. On Sundays you have to look for a place, because there is a lot of people. Rightly so. The nice waitresses are quick and friendly. In good weather you can sit outside. I would like to come again.
I like this place a lot. Theres really good and, relatively to Frankfurt, cheap food. Its an Israeli-ish food place and a pro-tip: you should reserve a table on weekends. Their dishes are authentic enough and the pitas are awesome. The coffee is very good and the cakes are to die for. If you're in the area make sure you give this place a go, im convinced you will not be disappointed
One of the most wonderful and comfy places in Frankfurt. They have thr best cakes and breakfasts, not to mention lovely and attentive staff. Also dog friendly! 🐶
Morcolade Breakfast is a very nice one. Place is quite good. There is variety of cakes as well. Wooden seats and small tables (in terms of height) are not comfortable though especially if you are tall
Neighbourhood friendly cafe with excellent breakfast, tasty cakes and more. I recommend the morning Mercolade breakfast 😊
I called a few days before to ask about the pita bread from their bakery next door. I saw images of freshly baked pita and TLV bread rolls on their website! Unfortunately, the young lady on the phone did NOT mention that you can only buy pita from the bakery if you preordered it or next door in their cafe only together with their hummus platter!? We got back from Tel Aviv a few weeks ago and are desperately looking for an Israeli Style Café with great authentic pita and hummus. In Tel Aviv you can find exceptional Vegan Cafés that serve the best pita and hummus and other dips! I was a bit disappointed this morning because I rode by bike across the whole city just to find out that I must preorder the pita bread. However, the ladies in the bakery were friendly and gave me pita to try. That was very kind, thank you so much.
Nice environment, good food, amazing service
Absolutely royal breakfast with unbeatable value for money. The Morcolade delivers top quality products in a family atmosphere. The staff is attentive and very friendly, you get tap water offered (which is often frowned upon in many restaurants in Germany and you get pitying looks). In addition to the breakfast (try the Israeli national dish Shakshuka!) Above all, the cake are top and especially unusual / varied. The coffee of Babba Rossas is local and tastes great. The experience is rounded off by the sympathetic owner who is always attentive and always available for the guests. I would love to come back!
Very nice and attentive service! Cozy place for a solid breakfast. The cake selection looked very appealing. I'll come back for that extra. Clear recommendation
Current rating is too high, few comments: - Did not reserve? You can sit in the children hipster seats most likely. Really Morcolade.. the seats are very low/small and uncomfortable (Your partner will sit though 10cm higher at the opposite side at the walled seats). - Small tables so dont order too much else you sit next to your dish as the girls next to us. - Friendly staff, but clearly no experience in serving food IMO (when wrong sorry). No basic good morning/thanks/enjoy the meal. Just a can I take the plate away. - Current breakfast menu is poor/boring (no fresh juice, no concept,..) and simply lacks some uniqueness for Frankfurt. - Clearly good reviews state its famous for some good humus. If thats the case why not add a small taste of that in the breakfast. - Little too loud and busy with that espresso machine, also a bit cold inside, however got better as we were the early customers that day However: - Coffee was tasty. - Seems like they had a good selection of Kuchen for those whom have a sweet tooth - Card payments accepted (yes, although we are 2019 this is somehow still an achievement) Takeaways, seems like anyone thinks they can start another hipster breakfast place without real thought and ratings seem way off compared to other better places in FFM. Why? Go to a place like e.g. 'Cafe croquant' with a rating of 4.0 and compare the two.
Good hummus
First time we went there was in July 2018 and we were impressed with a choice, portions size and service. We decided to give it a second go last weekend and boy, what a difference. For whatever reason, the breakfast menu was adjusted and a really yummy vegetarian breakfast version with plenty of dips was taken away. They also stopped doing a beetroot dip which was amazing! So we got a breakfast with bread, cheese and spreads and to be honest - it was really mediocre this time. Tuna spread, cream cheese spread and hommus tasted really generic and plain. Coffee was very nice though. They also had a new waitress which was a bit lost. Maybe training her on a busy Saturday morning is not the best idea. I hope they will rethink their menus and go back to some of the things that were really good.
Excellent choice, friendly staff, delicious cakes, cozy, really nice. Also nice for children they have nice books.
Great Coffee and small breakfast !!
Great atmosphere and food, especially the Hummus and cakes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was that the fresh mint tea I ordered contained a few bugs too many, even at the second attempt.
my favorite cake and coffee place in town.. they are the best as do try there breakfast menu, it's simply nutritious plus delicious
I haven't tried their desserts, but breakfast was good. The waiter speaks in English and he was very kind.
Such a nice place to relax and have a coffee/late breakfast...
Best humus in Frankfurt!!!😋 I recommend to call to make reservations.
Greatest coffee in Ffm! and I didn't even start talking about breakfast...go there! And you'll thank me!
The Morcolade has extremely friendly waiters. That's what it stands out for. The vegan decaf cappuccino was delicious and it's a cosy little café, sometimes it can get packed, often actually. There was no vegan cake left when I came which is a pity. Other than that great!
Very nice staff and good vegan food
We really enjoyed the Hummus, pita bread was brilliant like at Home
Very friendly and cozy place. The cakes are pretty creative (not the usual selection) and delicious!
Nice and cozy. Excellent breakfast, nice people and great coffee!
The pastries are delicious and feature some interesting flavor combinations. Service was very friendly and prompt. Excellent place for pastries, tea, coffee.
